Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is a water treatment technology, which is utilized to maximize wastewater reuse. In this process, wastewater is cleaned and purified leaving almost zero discharge after completion of the effluent treatment cycle. In other words, a ZLD system can produce purified water from wastewater suitable for reuse in the same plant from where it has already been used.
