Ultra filtration (UF) Plants

Zero Liquid Discharge(ZLD) Evaporator

Need of ZLD :

Forced Air Evaporator


Forced Air Evaporator Unit is a solution for evaporation of water out of the rejected effluent with friendly environmental way. Generally at Lagoon, only Upper thin layer of water gets natural evaporation. Such quantity is much less as compared to generation of large quantity of effluent. Thus a requirement is felt by the Industry for faster and efficient mechanical solution. We have developed an evaporator unit such that very fine size of water particles are generated and are forced to mix with high volume of Air and are then flown in to the atmosphere to take advantage of evaporation in abundant quantity of atmospheric air.

Fans supplied with the refrigeration equipment are used to cool the air by forcing it past the evaporator coils. These fans are not large enough, nor are they properly located in most cases, to force air directly past the produce. Furthermore, the chilled air leaving the evaporator coils is generally much too cold for most types of produce. It must be mixed with the warmer air inside the room to prevent chill injury. Therefore, additional fans are required to move the air past the produce. To achieve good air distribution, these fans should pull, never blow, the cooled air through the produce as fast as practical.

Design of Evaporator :

The theory of the evaporator is to mechanically expose more quantum of water mixed with compressed air in to the atmospheric air and to keep that water particles aloft long enough to evaporate them naturally. To achieve this performance we have designed Bipolar nozzles in which Air and water feed simultaneously to produce and send water droplets in to the air for long time to keep them aloft for long distance to evaporate them naturally.

For the same we recommend a pump with pressure of 50 mtrs Head and Air compressor with 6 kg/ pressure. As per general observation, about 60 to 70% of the water spray pump capacity would be evaporated in to the atmosphere on the driest day of the year. Water spray capacity of the pump, about 70% to 80% volume of the same would be maximum evaporated and thus it is estimated that about 70 to 80% of pure water would be evaporated from the sprayed mist.

Actual evaporation capacity will depend on percentage humidity, temperature condition, air wind velocity etc. on a respective day and thus above details are true for estimation only and may vary as per atmospheric condition. To reduce the cost of making Tower we can use you roof top to install the same.

Forced Circulation Evaporators

Forced Circulation Evaporators are short tube evaporators and are ideally used when the boiling of feed liquid on the heating surfaces is to be avoided due to the salting and fouling characteristics of the liquid. Hence in these evaporators the flow velocity in the tubes is kept very high.

As the name implies, force is used to drive the liquid through the evaporator tubes thus producing high tube velocities. A high efficiency circulating pump, designed for large volume and sufficient head, is used to supply the force. Proper design results in controlled temperature rise, controlled temperature difference and tube velocities that give optimum heat transfer. This type is recommended for viscous, scaling and salting liquids. As the liquid is only heated in the steam chest with flashing taking place in the separator and no boiling taking place within the tubes, fouling on hot tube walls is reduced.

Multi Effect Evaporators


Multi-Effect Evaporation is an important procedure adopted to economize the consumption of energy. The Multi Effect Evaporators are designed to economize the consumption of energy. These are designed in such a way that the steam from an outside source is condensed in the heating element of first effect. Further for second effect the boiling temperature of first effect is just too high that evaporated water can serve as the heating medium. The formed vapors than send to condenser, if it is the double effect evaporator. OR

An evaporator is essentially a heat exchanger in which a liquid is boiled to give a vapour, so that it is also, simultaneously, a low pressure steam generator. It may be possible to make use of this, to treat an evaporator as a low pressure boiler, and to make use of the steam thus produced for further heating in another following evaporator called another effect.

But in the multi effect evaporators, the feed is generally transferred from the one effect to another, which leads to ultimate product concentration which further reaches to one effect of evaporator
