Belt Filter Press

Belt filter presses are used to remove water from liquid wastewater residuals and produce a non-liquid material referred to as “cake”. Dewatered residuals, or cake, vary in consistency from that of custard to moist soil.
Our belt filter press is designed with long term value and ease of operation in mind. Stainless Steel frame and roller construction are standard.  Constructed of stainless steel and high-grade plastics, belt filter presses are extremely resistant to fouling and corrosion. While many competitive dewatering systems employ linear designs, these systems are built with their dewatering zones stacked vertically, so equipment takes up less floor space.

Features and Benefits: 
  • Maintenance is relatively simple and can usually be completed by a wastewater treatment plant maintenance crew. Replacing the belt is the major maintenance cost.
  • A large initial drum in the pressure/shear zone.
  • An extended length pressure/shear zone.
  • A variable orifice polymer/sludge mixing valve to optimize polymer conditioning.
  • Larger standard filtration areas for greater process throughput and higher cake consistency.
  • High quality structural frame materials and components for trouble-free, long lasting operation.
  • Wastewater solids must be screened and/or ground to minimize the risk of sharp objects damaging the belt.
  • Wastewater solids with higher concentrations of oil and grease can result in blinding the belt filter and lower solids content cake.
